Study Abroad
Baylor in Italy 2023
DATES
- June 1-June 21, 2023
About the Program
Baylor in Italy offers a variety of courses from the departments of Classics and English.
While final decisions have not been reached, this year we are likely to offer CLA 3321: Roman Topography, CLA 2306: Greek and Roman Mythology, ENG 2301: British Literature (with a focus on writings in and about Italy), ENG 2310: American Literary Cultures, and ENG 1310: Writing and Academic Inquiry.
This year we will begin our trip in southern France! Based in Aix-en-Provence, we will explore some of the Roman features of the landscape in cities like Nimes, Orange, and Arles. We will then shift to Rome, sampling the sights, sounds, and tastes that the Eternal City has to offer. An overnight trip to Florence will round out our experience.
There’s a place for all kinds of students in Italy this summer. We hope you will join us!
