Special Programs
The Baylor Classics Department is home to a number of special programs. As part of the Green Scholars Initiative, we are able to offer undergraduate researchers the rare opportunity to work first hand with ancient Greek and Latin papyri and medieval manuscripts.
Our Intensive Greek Summer Institute provides students with the opportunity to complete their first year of Greek in one summer session. This program is especially beneficial for students with significant experience in Latin who seek to advance in Greek quickly, for seminarians, and for graduate students in related fields such as religion, history, ancient philosophy, and political theory.
The Baylor in Italy program provides undergraduate with an opportunity to experience the power of ancient sites firsthand. Latin Day, provides encouragement for Texas high school Latin programs and offers them a chance to experience Baylor for a day.
