Minor in Classics, Greek and Roman Studies, Greek, or Latin
Requirements for a Minor in Classics
Eighteen semester hours including the following:
A. At least three hours must be a “3000” or “4000” level course in Greek or Latin literature.
B. The remainder of the courses may include:
- ART 3352, 3353;
- CLA “3000-4000” level courses;
- GRK “2000” or “3000-4000” level courses;
- HIS 4322, 4324;
- LAT “2000” or “3000-4000” level courses;
- PHI 3310;
- PSC 3363.
C. At least nine of the eighteen hours must be at the “3000” or “4000” level.
Requirements for a Minor in Greek and Roman Studies
Eighteen semester hours including the following:
A. Classical Literature (6 hours): CLA 2301 or CLA 2306; CLA 2302
B. Classical Civilization (6 hours): CLA 3301 and 3302
C. Material Culture (3 hours): CLA 3321, CLA 3352, CLA 3353, or CLA 4331
D. Electives (3 hours): Select the remaining three hours of coursework from the following: any CLA “3000-4000” level course not previously taken; BIC 2330; GTX 2301; HIS 4322, 4324; PHI 3310; or PSC 3363. Alternatively, students may fulfill this requirement with three hours of Greek or Latin instruction at the second-year level (2310 or 2320).
Requirements for a Minor in Greek
Eighteen semester hours including at least nine semester hours at the “3000” or “4000” level.
Requirements for a Minor in Latin
Eighteen semester hours including at least nine semester hours at the “3000” or “4000” level.
